Two additional (timely) calls for WJC if possible, to Steve Wynn and Jim
Murren for their help with at-large caucuses.
The asks of the at-large casinos is to:
- Extend paid hours from 1 to 2
- Provide a box lunch
- Provide greater flexibility for employees to give later notice /
intent to participate in the at-large caucuses (for example, right now an
employee at MGM needs to give a minimum of 10 days notice if they plan to
leave work to attend the at-large caucuses)
Call sheets attached, we are happy to provide additional background as
needed.
As you know, Podesta is in Las Vegas today, for a strategic NV and March
states update meeting with Labor Presidents, including Lee Saunders, Randi
Weingarten, Jim Boland, Doug McCarron, Mary Kay Henry, and Terry
O'Sullivan* (he arrives tomorrow).
John is also seeing Heather Murren this evening, at 6pm.
HRC will start tomorrow in Las Vegas with an OTR to Caesar's for coffee and
a back of house visit. She attends the Labor canvass kick-off with all of
the Presidents listed above, except for Terry O'S., whom she will have a
separate, private greet with (and not attend LIUNA's canvass kick-off.)
